Blogger didn't point a gun to your head and demanded you use their commenting system like xanga does... That's why it's an option... You can always stick to haloscan or yaccs or whatever proprietary commenting system you use... it's a free world, use whatever you like... not like communist xanga where it's our comments or no comments :P
